Override-Sourced (Unique) Combinations

Override-sourced labeling is child-scoped in this project: Relaxaurus and Sparkit yield Relaxaurus Lux, and every other row producing that child shares the label.

Child-scoped override labeling in this dataset

This tool's data includes parent pairs that standard Breeding Power averaging alone cannot explain for certain children.

In this project, override classification is applied per child species. When a child has at least one pair the standard rule cannot produce, every combination that yields that child is labeled override-sourced in this data (shown as “Unique combination” on UI badges).

Why formula-aligned rows can still show override labels

Because labeling is child-scoped, a pair whose arithmetic matches the standard rule can still display an override-sourced badge when the resulting child is override-classified across the graph.

Path Finder and Parent Finder treat that child consistently under the override label for all producing pairs.

Canonical override example

Breeding Relaxaurus (Lazy Dragon) with Sparkit (Elec Cat) produces Relaxaurus Lux (Lazy Dragon Electric) in this data. Standard averaging for that pair would select a different species, so the row is override-sourced.

Same-species pairs that produce an override-classified child also carry the override label for that child in this data.
